Ribbon holder

I almost forgot! I wanted to show ya something pretty cool! I have been trying to get more organized but that is a life long goal so I can only try my best. But, I have been working on my craft area and saw this cute idea for storing ribbon and had to do it since I had the supplies right in my very own closet!!
It's a pants hanger! I cannot take credit for the idea and I am sorry, I cannot remember where I saw this! I had my ribbon in one of those boxes for storing ribbon but it was just overflowing and I would often forget what ribbon I had. This way, I can see what I have. So far, I love it!Cool huh??
Wow, I hadn't realized how long it has been since I posted! Shame on me! I have not forgotten all of you, I hope you haven't forgotten me! Ana from Scrappy Pink Corner has been yelling at me to post so while watching The Voice with the fam, I am posting!! I have been crafting, just not posting. I have kind of been out of the card making craziness I was in before and have been working on Liam's scrapbook instead. I do love making cards but Ana and I have been meeting once a month to work on our layouts and it has been great having girl time with her! It is just so nice to sit and chat and make layouts. I will have to post a few that I have finished but tonight I finished a motorcycle diaper cake that I will show you. Ok, I really thought it was going to be simple but simple does not come simple to me! lol After buying blankets and bibs and trying to put it all together, I realized my blankets were not the right kind and so I had to go out and buy all new stuff! UGH! Its ok though because the mom to be needs blankets and bibs so it will not go to waste since I couldn't return it. 15 years after having her first, my friend is having her second! Many things have changed over the years so she is freaking out a bit! I want to ease her anxiety a bit by loading her up with the neccessities but I saw this cute tutorial at www.sweetaprils.com on how to make a motorcyle diaper cake and couldn't resist throwing in some fun for the baby shower I will be attending for her.
Ok, so its not perfect but if I took any longer on it, the kid would be changing MY diapers! If I mess with it one more time, I think I will go nuts! I asked a few guys at work and they said it looked like a tricycle. I was like, ok I will take it!! At least it resembled something! My pictures are not the best either but if you would like to make one, be sure to follow the great tutorial at Sweet Aprils
.
Time to put the little dude to bed, I let him stay up late to hang with his older sister. He is trying to con me into letting him sleep with us tonight and I am such a sucker that I am sure he will win! How can I say no? He is adorable!
Goodnight-I will try to post some more tomorrow!

Valentines Day Decorations

whoo hoo! I won the Challenge at Decorate to Celebrate! I am so psyched because I won a mini album that Rhonda from Decorate to Celebrate and Scrap Happens, will make for me. She is totally creative and none of her creations cease to amaze me! Her daily Valentines posts has had my brain spinning in overdrive with all her cool and original projects!
This weeks challenge over at Decorate to Celebrate is decorations for a Valentines Day party. I made a tulle wreath to hang on my front door for when the girls and I have a "girls night in" next week at my house. I will be adding more decorations for our little get together that I will post after I finish them. This wreath was made with pink and red tulle. I tied the tulle in knots around a styrofoam wreath and then hung the Be Mine ornament I got at Joanns.
Be sure to join in the fun at Decorate to Celebrate

Decorate to Celebrate challenge!

Hi all!! I hope everyone had awesome holidays and are enjoying 2012 so far! It has been quite awhile since I last posted but I have been sneaking in from time to time to check out some of my favorite blogs(go check out Scrappy Pink Corner you won't be disappointed!! )I have been working on some projects for friends. One friend has a son who is turning one and she wanted some banners and other things in the theme of The Little Red Wagon. My photo taking is really poor but I tried to get some shots of what I did for her. My hubby was busy in the kitchen and couldnt help out with the banner and Liam just wanted to be in the pictures!! ha My friend wanted a birth month banner that she could clip pictures of her son as he progressed from new born to 12 months! Then I did a Happy Birthday banner and a highchair banner. I also did some treat bags that will be filled with play-doh that she is making herself! I then made cupcake toppers. I think it turned out pretty cute! My two favorite gals over at Decorate to Celebrate, Amy and Rhonda are having a challenge that I try to enter in but haven't gotten to lately. But, since I got this b-day project all done, I can enter. Whoo hoo!! The theme this month is,Anything goes-any party theme can done.
This is the highchair banner:
