Old School Cartridges Blog Hop!

Welcome to ICrea8Cards and the Old School Cartridges Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Kassidy you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to http://www.inkingituplikecrazy.blogspot.com and start at the beginning. We would love to share a few projects and ideas with you using the older Cricut Cartridges. After you have finished the hop,be sure to head on back to Inking it up Crazy and create and link up a project of your own using one of your older cartridges. The older the better!
Make sure to check out each members blog. There will be some fun prizes along the way, AND there will be some Awesome ideas!
For my project, I made an Explosion Box!! I am so happy with how it turned out. I think it would make a fun gift and I would use this to place fresh baked cookies in the middle of it for a birthday sweet treat or just because!! I have taken pictures of each layer, from the first to the last. But, I am so bummed! I worked so hard but unfortunately, I am having problems getting close up pictures. Ahhh! So, look closely! lol (really, It looks better in real life! ) The tag inside says Lovin from the Oven!
Here is what I used:
From My Kitchen Cricut Cartridge
Nana's Kitchen paper from DCWV
Twine from The Twinery
Copper Pot brad & yellow pot holder brad from Eyelet Oulet
stick pin I made myself
Scrappy Moms stamps
misc. brads from Jo-ann's
I have some blog candy to give away for stopping by! All you have to do is:
1. Become a follower and let me know you did
2. Leave a comment and tell me what your favorite older cart is!(be
sure to leave a way for me to get in touch with you!)
I will pick a winner on August 7th!

  4. I love your box!! (To get a better look I clicked on the picture to make it bigger.) You did such a great job on the die cuts, they are all so cute! I love all of my older cartridges but if I had to pick just one I would have to say it's Everyday Paper dolls. There are so many great things on that cartridge. Tfs and have a great day. :)

  25. Great kitchen explosion box..I see why you are partial to that cartridge..:) My cartridges are soo dated that I only have fonts...and I still am not sure how to work my Cricut so it will be a while before I advance. I do have a friend whose daughter recently married and now she has free time to help me learn the machine.
