Yippee!!!

The challenge at Cricut 360' is Welcome Baby. I just found out my best friend and his wife are expecting. I made this card for them using the Let's Party cartridge and a tag from Once Upon a Princess. I used my Scrappy Moms stamps for the sentiment, embossed the onesie with my swiss dots folder and used some "baby" paper I have had in my stash forever! I couldn't be happier for "P" and his wife!

Celebrate the Occasion challenge #31

I don't make a lot of masculine cards but needed to make one for a friend to give to his friend! He wanted a teddy bear on it. I love Create a Critter, its one of my favorites still and it has the cutest bear on it. I used paper from a new Pet pad I picked up, cut the teddy and the balloons from Create a Critter, embossed the bottom, and used a Scrappy Mom's stamp. I wanted to add some bling but held back!! I hope he likes it. If not, there is always Hallmark! lol
I am entering this into the Celebrate the Occasion challenge-a birthday card with balloons. Link up your card to Celebrate the Occasion too!

I Treasure you!!

It's a Pirates Life!! Fantabulous Cricut is having a challenge to make a pirate themed project. I made this treasure chest card to send to a friend back home. I love this paper!!! Its from DCWV, I think its called All About Boys. I used a pirate hat brad that I got from the Eyelet Outlet, the tag is from Once Upon a Princess, and the sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's stamps!

S.W.A.K.

The challenge at The Paper Variety is to use stickers. I made this card for my husband who has been so supportive of my lately I just wanted to put a little card near his coffee cup in the morning to remind him just how much I love him. My mom is going to live in an assisted living home this week and he has been watching our little dude, cooking, and cleaning while I go back and forth to my moms house. I am very lucky to have him!! I thought the one Bo Bunny sticker I used was just enough!! I used Bo Bunny paper and a little tulle. I love you Hun!! xoxo

DCWV Stack-a-holic Challenge

I love DCWV paper and their blog, DCWV Diary. They hold a monthly sketch challenge and this month I have decided to give it a try. I have been trying but not too successfully, to do some of my scrap book pages and this gave me a little incentive. I am way behind. I haven't followed a sketch before on a layout so it was a challenge for me. I have the worst memory and kept going back and forth to the sketch like a spaz! So, it may not be exact or perfect, but I am learning which is the important part!! I used Grade School paper pack which I am sooo in love with I have to get more! I also used one piece from the High School pack for the little note. I cut an apple using my Cricut and used green and blue bling and 3 buttons for my embellishments. I decided to do the first day of VPK (pre-k)for my son. We took that picture out by the pond on his first day. He was not happy wearing a collared shirt but I think he looked pretty spiffy! lol You have until September 29th to join the DCWV September Stack-a-holic Challenge so challenge yourself like I did! But most of all, have fun doing it! (seriously, after yelling at myself 100 times, I had a good time...)

Rock Star!

whoo hoo got to finish another card today! This card is for the Fantabulous Cricut challenge: Music. This chick is rockin!! lol! I cut her from Once Upon a Princess(I have had this cart for about 5 mths but never cut any of the girls, what was I waiting for!??) I used the star tag from the same cart. All the paper is DCWV and I added a lil silver bling onto the tag and the purple ribbon already had the silver dots on it-love sparkle farkle!

Harvest Easel card

I have never used the scarecrow cut on my Simply Charmed cartridge and I really wanted to to try him out. I think he is soo cute so I have got to make the girl one next! I used the pumpkin from Mini Monsters. I just some scraps from my scrap box(it is getting huge again!!) and some Recollections Halloween paper I got at Joanns. The sentiment is from my fav girls, Scrappy Mom Stamps!
The Challenge at My Craft Spot is Happy Harvest so I am going to enter this card there and at Paper Play Time where the challenge is to make an easel card.

Tacky Tuesday's Challenge #10

Tack Tuesday's Challenge this month is to use a dog cut and the word "woof" or "ruff". I used the dog from Create a Critter. I used a sentiment from My Pink Stamper. I really love this paper that I just got from a pet paper stack from DCWV. I don't like to overdo it with all kinds of embellishments so I made it very simple. Be sure to enter your project on Facebook for the Tacky Tuesday Challenge. Don't forget to go to Ruthie's awesome blog at September Ninth . She is one creative chick!!

CTO Challenge #30 Tall Card

The challenge at Celebrate The Occasion is to make a tall card. I have not made one of these before so this was kinda fun! I love sock monkeys (any kind really!) and so does my friend Kari who is celebrating her birthday this weekend. I found this great paper at Michaels and used the birthday present from Sweet Treats. I don't like to add a lot of embellishments when I find cool paper so I only added a few buttons and the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms. If you haven't been over to Celebrate the Occasion you really should, the design teams are amazing and the challenges are always fun!

Fall Challenge at Love to Crop

If you are here for the Teddy Bear Hop, click HERE

!

I just can't contain my excitement! Today I am a guest designer at Love to Crop!! What a way to start the weekend! Whoo hoo!! (my husband just doesn't share my excitement yet I am supposed to jump up and down because football season "officially" starts Sunday? Really??)Anyway...There is a new Challenge at Love to Crop . The theme for this challenge is: FALL COLORS. It does not have to be a fall project but fall colors need to be used(green, red, orange, brown, yellow, etc..) I usually do cards but really need to get scrapbooking so I made a layout featuring little man and his football. (I gotta make his daddy happy sometimes so the football picture it is!). I have been hoarding these sparkle farkle orange chipboard letters from last fall so I figured I had to used them on top of this cool black sparkle farkle paper I picked up at Joann's for a buck! The two background papers were also from Joann's(for a buck! Love it!) I am in a rosette making mood so I added one with a little embossing and a lil bling and a tag made from my Once Upon a Princess cartridge.
Be sure to check out Amy's project as well as the other guest designers projects and link up one of your own at Love To Crop. The Challenge runs for two weeks. Thanks to Amy for letting me be a guest designer, I so appreciate her work and you will too!!
I am linking this up to the Scrapalicious USA challenge-fall

Teddy Bear Hop!!

Good Morning and Welcome to the Teddy Bear Hop hosted by Jen of Jenscraftcorner! If you just happened by my blog then please stay! I mean really, who can resist a teddy bear??
However, if you are following the hop, then you should have just come from the super crafty, Laurie at Scraps By Sissy.
I have had a baby photo album just sitting in my drawer for a few years. It was for a girl, I have a boy and it wasn't something I wanted to give as a gift. I was just about to donate it when I found out I was in the Teddy Bear hop. I have had ONE piece of Teddy Bear paper that I have been coveting for about 4 ys but decided it HAD to be used for this project! I first took out the insert of the album and covered the album in brown paper. I then put the teddy bear paper on top,it has some cool browns and light orange tints to it and the background almost looks like light colored graph paper. I added some brown ribbon and a cool orange slider I got from Maya Road. Some bling had to be added to the top along with this cool orangeyish(is that a word?)tulle bow and voila! New photo album!! I am loving it now!
You will LOVE the blog candy I have for you! It is Cosmo Cricket Haunted Stamps and two chipboard sets(Tank & Haunted House). How do you win this awesome prize??? While it would be awesome for you to be a follower, that is not required. Please leave me a comment on todays project and an email address so I can contact if you win and I will pick a winner to be announced on Sept. 13th!! This hops runs until the 12th, so get hopping! You won't want to miss out!(u.s. residents only!)

BBTB2 challenge-Rock Princess

The challenge at BBTB2 is to use the Rock Princess cart. I made a lil treat bag but since I don't have Rock Princess, I used the bat from Simply Charmed and my MS Drippy goo punch(told ya I was gonna be using this a lot!). I used a sentiment from Scrappy Mom stamps.

Frankentastic dude!

My Creative Time has a cricutless challenge this week! The colors black, orange, purple and green had to be used. I just got these Cosmo Crickett chipboard Halloween Stickers that are sooo stinking cute! I love this little Frankenstein! I made a purple easel card and affixed Frankenstein and an orange star to the front. Inside is a lime green background paper. I used my new MS drippy goo punch on purple paper (ok, I have been waiting a yr to get the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch-it was never in stock, and got it yesterday for 50% off at Michaels! whoo hoo! I will be using this all the time!!) and then put green and black polka dot ribbon on it. I used my PBD stamps for the Frankentastic sentiment. He is a cool dude!

M.A.G. Challenge #42

M.A.G. Challenge #42 is to use page 66 of Once Upon a Princess. I used the tag cut and some scraps from DCWV Nana's Kitchen and Recollections. I used a sentiment from Scrappy Mom stamps. I sooo love Scrappy Mom Stamps!!!

Mystery Box haul and update on mom!

First things first-thanks to all the well wishes for mom. She had surgery on her fractured wrist and it went very well. For 80 yrs old, she is a tough old broad! lol She was in good spirits right after surgery and is now resting at home with a live in aide to help her out for a while. I am hoping she will gain her strength back(and her weight, the lil whipper snapper is only 92 pds!)and start having a better time of it!
ok now onto the Cosmo Cricket Mystery Box I ordered last week. Kassidy from Inking it Up posted about it on FB and I am such a sap, I got one! It was $50 and boy am I glad I am a sap! I got a 9, yes 9 pound box of goodies! I have never used their products so I really don't know how much their products cost but I really think I got a great deal. I got 36 sheets of paper, a mini deck of paper, plus 15 pages of different die-cuts ,journalling tags and borders. I got a halloween stamp set, 3 mini chalkboard albums, 2 photo boxes, some bling, some grubbers, lots of stickers, and a box of lacing cards. I am just beside myself! I have so much that I am starting to feel the guilts(especially since I still have another Mystery Box coming in from Crafty Steals next week!)!! I am in a Teddy Bear Blog hop on Sept. that Jen at JenscraftCorner is hosting so some of you might just want to stop by and see what kind of blog candy I will be giving away! It could be something from my Maya Road Mystery box, Cosmo Cricket Mystery Box, or from the Crafty Steals box I am waiting on! Here are the pics from my latest haul!
