I made this Easter table arrangement for my sister who is hosting my mom's 80th b-day party! It took a long time to make,(there a zillion flowers on there!) but I think it turned out pretty cute!  It was made using a styrofoam ball, bread crumb container, a chopstick wrapped in yellow ribbon and mostly scrap paper I found while organizing my scrap drawer!  I am entering this into the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #53 looks like spring.  Check it out at:

Cricut Cardz Challenge #67

Cricut Cardz Challenge #67 is to use the colors, green, white and pink. http://cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com/2011/03/cricut-cardz-challenge-67.html  I used lime, hot pink and white.  Now that I look at the picture, I can see the colors look pretty light but they are really bright. Darn!  I really just have to get a new camera! ugh!  Little man was sick today and for the first time in like 3 yrs he feel alseep on the couch for a nap! Well, I thought I would get in a little crafting but he kept teetering towards the edge so I had to *sigh!* fall asleep with him so he wouldn't fall off. What's a mother to do? (besides dad fell asleep upstairs where my craft table is so I couldn't wake him too! lol) Now he is up but still veggin on the  couch so I am going to sit here with him and try to teach myself to quill.  It looks so cool and I would love to make some pretty flowers for spring. I get distracted easily so we will see how this goes! Have a great weekend!

Bunny Challenge

I made this card for the Cardz Tv Challenge, Bunny Week.  I used the cute lil bunny from Birthday Bash(I have been making a lot of those lil bunnies!) The inside is stamped, Happy Easter.  I am still getting used to my Cricut and the different cuts don't always come out the way I want! I need to experiment more with paper and not be so afraid.  But, I really need to take a class.  I do love watching Made By Momo's videos http://madebymomo.blogspot.com/  and Marys videos at Cardz Tv because she takes the time to show and explain things and even has the pages in the books from where she gets the cut! love it! (those books really do need to give better instruction for the first time user!)I tried cutting my background at 5" and it wouldn't work? ahh well, I will keep on trying! Thanks Mary for all the great videos, keep them coming! You can see her videos on Youtube and also on her blog-http://cardztv.blogspot.com/2011/03/bunny-week-challenge-giveaway.html

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! This is what my son Liam had this morning for breakfast!  I can't take the credit for the topper, the girls at http://eighteen25.blogspot.com/2011/02/im-so-lucky.html made these.  They have the cutest site ever!!  It is their blog birthday week so head on over and tell them Happy Birthday!
Yum, chocolate covered Shamrock sprinkled marsmallow pops!! Liam and I made these for his day care class! He put the sticks in and I dipped! Not as glamorous as I would have wanted as I did them fairly quickly while making dinner but I am sure the 4 yr olds are not complaining!

Card Cupids Rock!

I made this for my sister Babe.  Her b-day was on the 6th of March.  I entered this in to the Cupcake Challenge at Let's Cricut.  I am reading the sentiment and realize that I have some cards I really need to do to send to Card Cupids.  If you haven't checked out their blog, you seriously should.  It is a fantastic blog!  They donate cards to sick and disadvantaged children.  I sent them 2 last week and really need to send them about a dozen more.  All of us sitting at our Cricuts definately need to be making some cards for these kids!  I don't know If I buy into those emails requesting me to send sick Johnny a zillion cards because he wants a zillion cards because you find out most of those are hoaxes!  Why shouldn't each child get at least one card instead of one getting a million for himself??  I like how the children Card Cupids pick kind of get a surprise card, they don't "expect" it. They donate care packages too! How kickin is that?  So, when you are sitting at your Cricut, whip up an extra one for the kiddos at Card Cupids or just donate of your challenge cards! (they have challenges too on their site http://www.cardcupids.org/blog/  ) I know I will!  Have a great weekend!

Good Morning!

The Paper Varietys Challenge is to make a card or layout with a get well theme http://thepapervariety.blogspot.com/2011/03/get-well-soon.html  and for the More than Favors Wacky Wednesday #29 Color Challenge the colors were purple, yellow and green.  The background paper is a deep purple and so is the flower(though the flower looks pink and the paper looks brown!).  http://morethanfavors.blogspot.com/2011/03/wacky-wednesday.html  Check out both of their sites, they have some beautiful cards and layouts!

How fun is this?

My brother is totally into recycling and re-purposing and so thought I would surprise him by making something with a recycled strawberry carton! (ok, I am not giving him the basket, just showing him that I can make something!) I am having an Easter Egg Hunt at my house again this year and thought the little girls would find these kind of fun to put their found eggs in!  I used fabric stiffner on the rbbon handle and added some cuts from Simply Charmed.  Add some sparkle farkle eggs, a few flowers, grass inside and ta da, egg basket!  I am entering this into Craft Junkie Too's Bring it on Spring challenge http://www.craftjunkietoo.com/2011/03/bring-it-on-spring-crafty-designers.html , Crazy About Cricut's "green project" http://www.crazyaboutcricut.blogspot.com/and The Creative Sisters Monday Challenge#3, Think Spring!http://pattilynncreations.blogspot.com/2011/03/creative-sisters-monday-challenge-3.html

Wacky Wednesday #28-Zoo Challenge

More Than favors Wacky Wednesdays challenge is Zoo themed .  I LOVE monkeys! I always ask my husband, "Can we get a monkey??" He always says "NO!" Whatev!  I call everyone at work monkey, I don't know why,I just do.  So, my good bud Stacy(monkey girl)is out of work and kind of in the dumps so I thought I would send her a little card letting her know that even though it seems like everyone is against her, I still am bananas for her!! So to Stac, cheer up monkey girl!! I had to whip this one up fairly quickly since we were out late getting light up shoes for the little man and running shoes for the big man!(mama doesn't like to exercise so she didn't get any! lol). I used my favorite Create a Critter Cartridge, my awesome stamps from The Pink Stamper(I love her!) and of course some sparkle farkle! (ok, smack me now I cannot stop using glitter glue.  I love whoever invented glitter glue, stickles, dollar store glitter glue etc... just love that sparkle farkle it cheers me right up!)
